Jersey Cheshire Home Celebrates 25th Annual Charity Golf Day
Jersey Cheshire Home is proud to announce its 25th annual Charity Golf Day, a longstanding event dedicated to raising essential funds for the only residential facility in Jersey that provides care for adults with disabilities.
Sponsored by Hawk, this year’s event will take place on Friday, May 10th at La Moye Golf Club and it promises to be a day of sport, competition and philanthropy.
Maintaining the essential services offered by Jersey Cheshire Home requires £8500 per day. Running for over twenty years, the Charity Golf Day has become one of the charity’s main fundraising events. With loyal support from the local community, the day typically raises around £20,000.
Donna Abel CEO of Jersey Cheshire Home said,
“We are immensely grateful to Hawk and all our supporters for their continued support in making this event possible. The Charity Golf Day not only brings together keen golfers but also individuals and businesses united in their commitment to enhancing the lives of adults with disabilities in Jersey.”
Last year’s tournament marked a historic victory for Rivoli Jewellers, whose team, led by Managing Director David Speed, clinched the championship for the first time. David has been an integral part of the Charity Golf Day, having entered a team since its inception over two decades ago. David was delighted to receive the inaugural Greg Branch Trophy, honouring the memory of Greg, a cherished member of Jersey Cheshire Home’s Team who passed away in 2022.
