Jersey Cheshire Home host presentation from world renowned adventurer Neil Laughton

Jersey Cheshire Home is excited to announce an exciting event with world renowned adventurer Neil Laughton; an accomplished business leader, record-breaking adventurer and former Special Forces Officer.

Laughton has summited Mount Everest with Bear Grylls and piloted the world’s first flying car from London to Timbuktu.

Generously sponsored by Oakglen Wealth and with the kind support of Untold Story Travel the event takes place on Tuesday 8th October at the Jersey Cheshire Home Community Centre in Green Street, St Helier.

The lunchtime talk coincides with the launch of the charity’s 2025 Fundraising Trek to Vietnam, a thrilling opportunity for supporters to challenge themselves while raising vital funds to support adults with disabilities on the island.

The trek will take place in the breathtaking landscapes of Northern Vietnam from 18th to 25th October 2025, where walkers will experience the culture of remote villages, trek through scenic rice terraces and bamboo forests, all whilst raising money to support Jersey Cheshire Home’s mission to enhance the lives of islanders with disabilities.

Donna Abel CEO of Jersey Cheshire Home said,

“We are thrilled have the opportunity to hear from someone as inspirational as Neil and we hope his passion and spirt of adventure will inspire participants to challenge themselves for this great cause.”

Oakglen Wealth Investment Director Michael Clarke said,

“Oakglen Wealth is delighted to liaise with Untold Story Travel to help bring Neil Laughton to Jersey. This will be a fun and interesting event as we hear of Neil’s fascinating adventures and it’s great to be able to introduce Neil to Jersey Cheshire Home”.
